FAQs on DSA (2017)

 What type of students are we looking for?

We are looking for students who excel in one or more of the following areas:

a. Sports and Games

  • Basketball
  • Netball
  • Table Tennis (Girls only)
  • Volleyball
  • Wushu

b. Performing Arts

  • Chinese Dance
  • Choir (Boys only)
  • Band
  • Malay Dance (Boys only)

c. Others

  • Animation
  • Debate
  • Robotics
2. How do I apply?

You may download the application form HERE and submit the completed form with supporting documents, BY HAND , to the school.

When is the closing date for submission of application form?
 3 July 2017, 2 pm

4. After I have submitted the application form, when will I know if I have been selected for the trial sessions?
Upon submission of your application form, you will be given a registration number. You can use the registration number to check if you are shortlisted for trials via the school website.
When will I know the results of my application?
The final outcome of your application will be available on the school website. Applicants are expected to use their registration numbers to check if they:
(a) have been given confirmed offer,
(b) have been placed on the waiting list or,
(c) were not successful in the application.
 What are your selection criteria? Is there a minimum requirement?
You should have consistent good performance in your academic results and have specific talents in sports and performing arts. Please refer to the Admission selection criteria table for specific requirements.
 When are the trials and interviews?
The actual dates of the trials and interviews, which will not take more than two days, will be available on the school website to short-listed applicants.
 What do I need to do if I am currently not studying in any of our MOE schools?
Candidates (non-mainstream) and Returning Singaporeans (SC/SPR) who are currently not studying in MOE schools, are required to obtain a registration number from MOE Customer Service Centre (CSC).
When will the DSA results be released?
DSA results will be released through your primary school together with the PSLE results.
